LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS
at The Gateway

The Gateway is a post 16 provision for vulnerable learners 16-19 who have left statutory education but who are not yet in further education, employment or training. Many of the learners demonstrate complex needs and are supported through individual learning packages to enable transition to college, work or training.

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work 1:1 with young people with statements of Special Educational Need to enable them to access the Post 16 curriculum and gain Post 16 qualifications.

Our Sports Coach Mentors play a key role supporting teachers in the classroom by mentoring young, disaffected people with challenging behaviour. They provide additional support for offsite activities, personal development and sports programmes. Experience of working with young people who find a mainstream school environment challenging would be advantageous.

ART TEACHER

Full time. Required as soon as possible

Salary: Teacher's Pay Scale and SEN allowance + London Fringe
Salary dependent on qualifications and experience

We are looking for an Art Teacher to cover a maternity leave from October 2014.The ability to think creatively and to be flexible in the particularly challenging environment of an SEBD school is essential.  QTS preferred but Unqualified Teachers with experience of teaching creative subjects and NQTs would be considered.

 MOTOR VEHICLE INSTRUCTOR

Term-time + Inset days only, 37 hours a week
Required as soon as possible

Salary negotiable depending on qualifications and experience   

Range Level 5: £20,400 - £24,892 pa, pro rata + Local Weighting Allowance

You will be teaching to a post 16 cohort as well to groups of 14-16 year olds, some of whom attend other Haybrook College provisions whilst others attend local mainstream and special schools.
