Springboard is a Key Stage 4 Pupil Referral Unit within the College which provides a range of high quality educational programmes helping to make positive changes in the lives of young people and ensuring the best possible educational outcomes. The provision educates up to 40 students who have been permanently excluded or at risk of exclusion from local mainstream schools.

We require a Manager of Springboard to ensure the smooth day to day management of the centre.  They will also play an important role in leading the future development and expansion of the College.

The successful post holder will lead and manage the staff team (currently 25) to raise standards of learner achievement across the curriculum.  They will also ensure that the provision offers a broad, balanced, relevant, motivating and differentiated curriculum for all learners as well as monitoring learner attendance and ensuring that behaviour management systems and procedures are in place, monitored and consistently adhered to.

Applicants must be qualified teachers with proven experience of leadership and experience of working effectively with children who have Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, either in a special school, PRU or within a mainstream setting.

Salary: Leadership Scale Point 5-9, £43,667-£48,088 per annum

We are looking for an experienced instructor to teach a range of Construction qualifications up to Level 2 at our Pitstop site.  You will be teaching to a post 16 cohort as well as to groups of 14-16 year olds, some of whom attend other Haybrook College provisions whilst others attend local mainstream and special schools.

Pitstop is based on the Slough Trading Estate www.sloughpitstopproject.org.uk.

Although a qualification if Lifelong Learning is an essential criteria, we will consider applications from those who are willing to commit in their application to undertake this qualification if appointed.
